Business and Enterprise
Our Specialist Schools Status in Business and Enterprise was awarded in 2005 and renewed in 2008. This gives us additional funding and resources to ensure that all of our students gain experience in Business and Enterprise during their time here. The specialism theme runs throughout the school and across the curriculum.
We believe that by giving our pupils these additional skills we are preparing them for the future with excellent qualifications and in addition the skills which are demanded by employers.
There are five key elements to the way in which we deliver this:
- Offering a range of Business related subjects at Key Stage 4
- Strong and meaningful partnerships with local and national businesses
- Enterprise Days for each year group where a full day is devoted to developing pupils enterprise skills
- Working in partnership with local primary schools to develop enterprise skills during Key Stage 2
- Offering a variety of extra curricular activities which support community cohesion and enterprise
