Hair, Makeup and Jewellery

We have guidelines for the presentation of students with regard to hair, makeup and jewellery:

Hair colour must be of a natural hue with no bright, unnatural colours or highlights. Long hair needs to be tied back during practical lessons and boys’ hair must not be shaved or have shaved sections within it. We do not allow Mohican style centre or side pieces.

Jewellery should be kept to the minimum for safety and security reasons. Students may wear a watch and one pair of stud earrings.

Makeup and nail varnish should not be worn and pupils will be asked to remove makeup that is excessively obvious.

Facial piercings of any sort are not allowed in school and any pupil who chooses to have a piercing will be asked to remove it during the school day.
